Dueling Surprise Dinners
Starting a couple sundays ago, Rory and I decided to take turns making each other Sunday Surprise Dinners (oh, the way we entertain ourselves). We didn't know what each other was making until we sat down at the table with our eyes closed and a napkin covering the surprise appetizer, entree or dessert....
Rory's Surprise
Fennel Crusted Pork Tenderloin with Roasted Fennel Wedges, Roast Carrots with Chili and Mint, and Olive Oil Mashed Potatoes
Blueberry Crumble for dessert (the picture didn't come out that well)
My Surprise!
The best Suppli I've ever had for an appetizer (fried risotto balls with a mozzarella surprise in the middle)
A White Margherita Pizza
And a Buffalo Chicken Pizza with Blue Cheese, Mozzarella, Black Olives, Toasted Breadcrumbs and Basil (I almost got veclemt when I saw this)
I would definitely say the pizza was the winner!

St. Patty's Day Treats!
It was yet another great year of corned beef, roast potatoes, mustard-braised cabbage and copious amounts of soda bread...I can't go a year without friends, family and good eats and drinks for St Patty's Day!

Baroque 'n' Roll!!
After settling down in to bed last night, I began my nightly ritual of checking my Style.com app to see what new shows were that day.... the Balmain show had occurred.....I took a few deep breaths and dove in....
I have to admit I wasn't as blown away with the Fall show as I was with the Spring show, but none the less there were so many aspects that made me quite happy...
Some thoughts:
*Black & gold will always make me smile
*Love the low belted trousers with tucked in loose shirts and a blazer
*Strong shoulders are still strong
*And I love the shimmery gold & black suede mini wrap dresses adorned with a skinny belt
*The black brocade w/gold buttons jacket that Anja's wearing is quite awesome
